This program teaches you how to defend yourself against common chokes, grabs, bearhugs, and other attacks including fighting on the ground, carjackings, home invasions, in your bed and when confronted by a weapon. We emphasize realistic scenarios and realistic defenses.

UK Crime Bulletin - Sexual Misconduct Incident Reported August 26, 2011 posted by UK Campus Police
In the interest of safety, the University of Kentucky issues this Crime Bulletin.
A sexual misconduct incident was reported on campus overnight. At approximately 1:40 a.m. today, Friday, Aug. 26, UK Police were notified of an incident near the corner of Rose Street and Huguelet. The victim stated that she was returning from an off campus function when two males approached her and offered to walk her back to her residence hall. When the group reached the area of Rose and Huguelet both suspects forced the female to touch them. One suspect started to pick the victim up and that is when a group of witnesses noticed something wrong. The two suspects left the area and walked toward the Kirwan-Blanding complex.
The victim described one suspect as a male with a "mixed complexion," 6’0" and last seen wearing a white shirt with a stripe across the chest. The second suspect is described as a white male 5’8" last seen wearing a white T-shirt or polo shirt.
Anyone with information relating to this investigation is asked to contact the University of Kentucky Police at (859) 257-1616.

· Carry a cell phone or other personal safety device.
· Always be aware of your surroundings and of the activities of people around you.
· Do not travel alone after dark; always walk with a friend or with a group.
· Park only in well-lit areas.
· Make statements with authority -- BACK-OFF! STOP! NO WAY! Never comply with being moved to another location, FIGHT BACK!
· If you choose to drink, be responsible! Alcohol clouds decision making and increases confidence, a combination that often leads to risky situations.
